Hey Everyone,
I have an 03 LTZ 400 that I dropped a big bore kit into and now is a 439 cc.
All is good until I get above 3k rpm.
I suspect the shim size needs to be increased to import and export more fuel/air mix.
But, what size do I use?
What are your thoughts?
Much appreciated!

If you not worried about about the money I would get the shim kit and it comes with basically everything shim size imaginable and you can mix and match the sizes to adjust the valves right. But other than telling you to get it I really can’t tell you what size shim bethel are all different

What are you talking about? Valve shims dont affect jetting. Are you talking about shims on the carb needle? Probably need more fuel everywhere, like pilot, needle and main jet.
The only reason to change valve shims if if the clearance is out of spec. It is an easy job to measure the clearance to find out.
