The real question is why are you burning up starters. Are you having a hard time starting the quad? Do you have to crank it and crank it to get it to start. Or are they just burning up?

If it does not start easily, then you need to check a few simple things first. Valve lash, fuel filter, weak fuel pump. When you do get it running, does it cut out when jumping or hit big bumps?

If the starters are just burning out from normal use, then you may have a voltage regulator issue or maybe a ground issue.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to kick a 4-stroke. I've sold dirt bikes because I was sick of kicking them. Find the cause and get it working right.

My Quad is still not starting......Here is a list of what I have done

1. New Starter
2. New Starter Gears (I have a new One-Way Starter Clutch Assembly) but I have notinstalled it as of yet
3. New Starter Button
4. New Timing Chain and Guide
5. Found out after tearing the Motor Down my Quad had jumped Timing so that was adjusted properly (I am Guessing)
6. New Solonoid
7. New Battery and Cables
8. New Clutch Cable

After doing all the previously listed steps I am still having starting Troubles and now the Quad is making a strange Squeaking/Grinding Noise and it will turn over but very slow.......I am about to push this Quad into the Atlantic Ocean

Can Anyone Please Help!!!!!!

If I were you I would take the head right off, pull the cylinder off and look at the lower rod bearing.

I will do so just as you instructed,

I have to ask what should I be looking for,

And last but not least what does this means if things are bad

Also the Bike Runs like a Burning Bat From Hell!!!!

Above forgive me for asking questions, in no way am I doubting you or questioning your knowledge

I am new to this and I am just trying to build my knowledge

could be a choke sticking, fuel screw , or coil getting hot, with a warm start issue. I dont see a bad rod bearing affecting the warm start, but would certainly account for lost compression, if that is an issue still.

Update: The Bike is now Starting both Cold and Hot.......I was told to run 110 Racing Fuel by my Mechanic because of the Mods
#1 Stage 2 Intake/Exhaust Cams
#2 High Compression JE Forge Piston (stock Bore)
#3 Full DAS Exhaust
#4 Deny Power Commander
#5 Full K&N Intake with Mod Box

I'm Burning 93 Octane and the Bike Starts and Run well......

Only issue is that it makes a Loud Grinding/Whinning Noise when starting the Bike

Conclusion
:::
After all the discussions and replies we found out the issue was am Aftermarket High Compression Piston was the culprit

Since then I have decided to race my Practice bike for the season, hopefully, maybe there is a possibility my race bike may be done for the middle of the season
