Check your plug gap

The manual calls for .028-.032. mine and others have found theirs at .019-.020. This will help top end a lot.

did you change yours to what the book says and then noticed more power or just saying that would probably happen? Im not sure but a larger gap is more taxing on an ignition system i think.
I've been building and tuning motors in my cars for over 15 years. 'Sperience.
My plug gap was 20. Changed it to .30 Make sure you keep the seep hole cleaned with a small pipe cleaner or wire. It keeps the mud/dirt/water from staying around the plug!!
