How does a dial-a-jet work? Are they easy to install? How much are they?

I'm thinking about installing one so that I can run the dunes with my airbox lid off and put it back on when I'm riding muddy trails.

Would this work? Is there a big enough range on the dial-a-jet? My main jet is 155 with the airbox and snorkel removed (K&N Filter with outerwear). I believe it is supposed to be 145 with the airbox lid in place. :?:

Dial a jet

Basicly all a dial a jet does is take gas from your float bowl and spray it in the carb. You have to go DOWN on your main jet size to compensate for the extra fuel. But you can dial up the amount of fuel sprayed to richin your jetting. This comes in handy when riding in different elavations. It also smooths out the fuel delivery to get rid of dead spots in the powerband. My friend has one on his warrior and it has slightly more power and revs up much quicker than stock.
