Drw performance case savers

Chain broke today and bent my gear shift shaft, I have an oem case saver that did save the case but the case did get damaged. Been looking around and don’t see much options on a full case saver that adds protection to the shift shaft, I came across drw case savers anybody run these, do they work and are there any other options I’m not finding?

I had a moose case saver, sort of worked one time but it bent, second time it didn't help and the chain hit the clutch arm area and broke the case around the shaft that the arm connects to. I jb welded that successfully (though it looked ugly). I'm thinking a shift lever with a spring loaded breakaway peg might be worthwhile also. I've hit the shifter a few times. Kept rebuilding the jbweld crack repair until the last time I hit something into the shift lever, which the jb weld held but something internal broke- which i'm currently splitting the cases to investigate. I'm almost thinking the shift lever should be made of plastic or poly and breaks if you hit something instead of the transmission or shift lever. anyways sorry to hijack the thread

Yeah I got lucky no broken case but came close was still using oem case saver, really interested in Drw design 70$ and is poly, I think I’m just gonna order it cause I can’t find any others like it on the market
when it arrives could you post up what you think of it? i might get one too if it looks like it'll work

Will do, I know they make a slider to but I just replaced mine a few rides ago so just gonna get the case saver
looks like they also make a rear sprocket protector and rotor protector. Not sure I'd trade my rear skidplate for those, i hit mine on rocks all the time, but they look better than nothing.
I run the DRW on 4 of ours, they need to be fitted so don't expect to just bolt it on. But they offer the best coverage by far. There is another company that offers something similar but I can't think of the name off the top of my head.

only Skid plate I have is the belly which is a handicap no parking sign 😂

If u remember soon let me know, I know I have to modify had to do the same recently with the chain slider so no worries I just don’t wanna replace another shifter shaft
What Chain slider did you use? The stock one needs to be shaved down quite a bit, Depending on which you have you may not need to.

ATM a cheapo one but it’s holding up well so far, i Don’t see why u can’t just cut them to where to dont have to take off the swingarm seems goofy I think down the road I might just try that to lol
