Hello all! I have a 2004 DVX 400 (suzuki motor) that i have apart and im just wanting to clarify my hoses for my carburetor. ill post a picture of what i have and if someone can just confirm. 1. is coming from the left side of the petcock! 2. is a vent tube 3. Im pretty sure is coming from other side of petcock?

Correct. 1 is vacuum to run the petcock. 3 is the fuel line from petcock. The vent tube hooks in to a couple of holes on the side of the intake runner, keeps it out of the way.

Can you run through that again?? I thought 1 is the main fuel line, line running from the tank to the carb and putting fuel in the bowl, 2 is a vent line, and idk what 3 is, that’s why I’m here, lol.

3 is for sure a vacuum to the right side of the petcock. 1 goes to the left side of the petcock which does feed into the bowl. 2 just a vent that sits in the frame.

Interesting. I’ve got an Amazon carb the dude who owned the bike before me put in, and when I plug the vacuum line (#3) it starts ti run a little better, but if I put a line to the peacock from it, it won’t run at all. It pulls fuel through the line, is it supposed to do that?? (If I need to make a new thread lmk)

gotcha. What does the vacuum line do?? And will it hurt to plug it??

The Petcock opens from carb vacuum instead of manual off. If the petcock is working right, you wont get any fuel with the line off, unless it is in Prime position.
