this may be stupid but can u cane the motors from the drz400 bike not the drz400s the model that is in the z + reverse? would it mount right up? this would work good cause if u do motocross u can loose the reverse and and eletric start for kick

I don't know, I imagine it would be a very very close fit. If it didn't fit I don't see why it wouldn't be all that hard to make it fit. The CDI might have to be changed as well. This swap would wake up the Z some forsure!

That would be real nice,lose more weight and have more power right off the bat. Then the donor motor would be already out of it and you could have it done up even more before the install. Too bad it wont fit...

Bah....it will fit. You just need to use your imagination. Cut and weld, anything will fit, you just need to work at it. I'm not saying it would be easy but it will fit if you make it fit.

Ditto that bbertram. You can MAKE it fit. I was reading about a Co. in Cali that took crotch-rocket motors and put em in quads. I think the current project was slapping a gixxer 600 or 750 into a quad frame. SICK, i say, SICK!

thier putting cbr 600f4i engines in 400 ex frames all the time!! you can usually find them on ebay for a reasonable price too..
