Ok. I've read that alot of Z's are blessed with squeaky rear brakes. Has anyone else encountered their FRONT brakes squeaking? Mine started on the third ride. They're almost worse than the rear. I know that changing the rear rotor may help that end, but do I have to replace the fronts too? Is their something else that may work? HELP!!! I can't stand the squeaking!!! 8O

z400 rider's right, just squirt it (break cleaner would work better, but even water will do). if that doesn't work take it apart and examine the pads.
the reason the rear break squeaks is cuz of a warped rotor. i believe that the rotor is warped cuz of it being solid and have a poor way of dissipating the heat compared to vented ones.

My brakes only squeak when I use them and they don't squeak that much really. I make sure I wash out my breaks with water every ride. I can't imagine using the brakes so much that you build up so much heat to bend the rotor. You would have to be riding your brakes all the time!
