My header pipe on kfx 400 still turns red after being re jetted.
Also a after a little under half tank of gas I have to turn my reserve on for it to get fuel. But when I fill it all the up it gets plenty of fuel and runs fine

What pilot jet and how many turns out on the fuel screw? Is it stock?

22.5 is probably too lean, that’s the stock pilot size. It’s almost too lean out of the box to pass emissions.
Your fuel issue is probably a dirty petcock filter or that crappy petcock itself. Maybe needs the weight of a full tank of fuel to push past a partial clog?

Thanks for the replies. I ended up selling the kfx 400. And found a ltz 400. The only thing it does is backfire. I’m thinking maybe either a exhaust leak or need rejetted?

If it is stock and the carb is clean, it wont need rejetting. So I guess I'm saying make sure the carb is clean.
