Hello,

I had an issue with my choke where it was constantly stuck on and my 2004 LTZ would rev up while idling.

I ended up pulling my carb out and giving it a clean as well as the choke, it seemed to fix the issue however now after putting everything back together the quad starts, revs up to max and starts smoking like crazy.

When I cleaned the carb I never adjusted anything or removed any jets. Even the idle adjustment knob wasn’t moved.

Im not sure where I went wrong or why this is happening , does anyone have any ideas or things I should check?

Check your throttle cable going to the carb may be stuck or incorrectly assembled.

The throttle assembly was never fully dismantled. I tried giving the throttle a lot of give and also just removing it from its casing at one point but doesn't make a difference.

Throttle cable my be routed wrong, or not fully seated in the carb. Even if you didn"t take it apart, you may have done this.
