this is on a 400ex but im sure yall know how to get it off, i loosend all the bolts and everything is un hook but how do you get the cover off from the engine?

You need a flywheel puller I believe to uremove a clutch

Do you mean the side cover (outer case cover) or the clutch basket cover (pressure plate.
If you mean the pressure plate, take out the 5 screws and springs, remove the cover and slide out the plates, keeping them in order. If you mean the outer cover (or side of case) sometimes the gasket gets stuck and makes them hard to remove. try taping lightly w/ a plastic or rubber mallet while pulling on it.

One more thing. Sometimes the metal plates in the clutch get stuck if they are really beat. I bent small screwdrivers into a step to get behind the plates to get them started out.
