What’s up guys. I have an 04 z400 and recently it starting making a strange knocking noise. Can’t isolate if it’s bottom end or top end. I’ve tried using a stethoscope to hear it better but it’s the same everywhere. I doubt it’s the valves since I replaced brand new with ferrea valves. I have a new did timing chain, stock bore weisco piston and new tensioner. I don’t think it’s chain noise because it’s too profound. Quad starts normal, noise can only be heard at idle, no power loss what so ever, it does smoke a little bit but I know it’s the rings. I’ll try to attach a sound clip for you guys. Keep in mind it sounds waaaaaay worse in the video than in person. Not sure if a rod bearing is going. Or maybe wrist pin is going. Thanks for the help

I would guess a rod bearing, but hard to tell from a video.
