I have a 04 z400 and for some reason I’m leaking out of my head, I can’t find the leak though I just know it leaking, it only leaks when I ride it and turn it off not while running, I don’t think it’s going to be the gasket I got that replaced a while ago, although I can feel air coming out on the bolt from the top ( see picture attached) , I don’t know if that’s where it’s coming from because it’s only air not oil and the bolt is tight, anyone have any ideas on what it could be? It not a lot of oil that leaks but it’s enough to notice

It appears that bolt is missing the rubber washer thats supposed to go between the head of the bolt and the valve cover. Hopefully that bolt was not over torqued and you cracked the cam cap as well.

Could be the valve cover bolt needing new rubber or the breather hose on top could be leaking, the little hose there in the pic could also need attention.
