Hi All, awsome forum!! Today I need some help. I have redone the top end on my LTZ400 (New piston, barrel, timing chain and tensioner. It makes a concerning ticking noise occasionally sounding very similar to a timing chain noise, only on low idle, as soon as you increase the idling speed it goes away....let me know what you think?

These are notoriously noisy top ends. With that said, does it rattle a lot on deceleration when you’re reving the engine or just at idle? If it’s only at idle, it could just be the cam lobes slapping the spring caps if the valve clearance is set at the max gap.
