Hi guys so I stripped down my quad and had it powder coated, put it all back together and now it won’t fire, I sprayed some brake cleaner into my air intake and got it to fire however it only sat for 2 mins before I tried to Rev it and it just cut out.

ive since had it start via the same methods but still nothing useable and it cuts out after a few seconds, I have given the carb a clean out but it seems to be fine and even replaced the spark plug I’ve ran out of options now which leaves me here, appreciate any help you guys can give me, one lad at work said I might need to run a cable from my motor to the frame as an extra ground as the powder coat may have weakened the connection?

I think the poor ground idea is the first place to look. I would flle the powdercoat out of the starter mounting holes to start with.
