Hey everyone, when I bought this quad it would only start by bump starting. I cleaned the carb, and found a broken wire on the TPS. Soldered and sealed with heat shrink. Still wouldn't start off the starter. Next up was checking the valve lash. Exhaust was in spec but intake valves were both at zero. Ordered a shim kit and got the intake back into spec. Tried again with a tank of fresh fuel, but still no luck. I was 100% sure everything was in time, timing chain was good, spun the engine and checked lash again. Checked spark, wasn't blue like I'd like to see. Went to check wires at the coil, both tested okay. After that, checked spark again to verify it was weak and it improved to a nice blue spark. Engine fired right up. Turns out the ground wire for the coil must've had a bad connection. Anyway, here's the point. Has anyone else had that be a problem before? I feel defeated for all the other effort but I know all of it only helped
