IMO.......mikuni is the best carb out there for the average guy. i think edelbrock carbs are the next best thing. kehin is for race track only, with a pit crew and meters, the government and 2 NASA tech's to get the thing to run right for more than a hour..........

It is pretty hard to beat a FCR39, if you set it up right, I am at sea level, and run the EMM needle 4th clip, 158 main, 38 pilot, 180 Main air jet, and an adjustable pilot air screw 1/2 turn out. I have been running this setup for a while, and once the rejet was done I havent had to mess with it since. Sudco, and Carb parts are way off on there prejetted carbs, so they run like crap. The EMM needle makes the bike violent in the mid to low range, and the bigger carb lets the bike rev more than the stock CV carb. The down side is that it sucks fuel with the EMM needle. I went from getting 150 miles out of a tank of fuel with the stock carb to about 65 to 90 miles with the FCR. But the added performance is well worth it.
