The valve clearance specs that came with my hot cams were very large compared to stock and the lobes actually slapped the lifter buckets, making it tick. Not a rattle like a loose cam chain, but a very noticeable tick. I set them to factory specs and the noise was gone.

Did some more riding and its till smoking unfortunately. Maybe its the valves. If you remember the yellow donor bike was smoking bad too and the head and valves came from it. I just assumed the rings were bad.

Also, still having some stalling. Played with the fuel screw and it seems to not do anything. I assume I need to come down on the jet.

Here is a video of the cam chain noise I was talking about:

Despite all the bugs being worked out its still fun to ride. It has a lot of power.

Edit: No sound to the video wtf. I am a bad mechanic, even worse computer guy lol.

Smoking could be valve seals, they show worse on deceleration though..
Is the high Rpm miss the rev limiter kicking in?

If the valve seals are leaking, you’ll normally see oil dripping down the valves whe you remove the carb or exhaust. It’ll be burnt on the exhaust valves, but should be obvious.
