hey

when i put mine on i didnt have any problem at all. I got my from rockymountainatv.com. It is a primilary drive one. I know someone on here said that you have to grind the clip a bit. I didnt. Also you might not have it on all the way. Try to get a screw driver and put it on the sprocket, and tap the screw driver with the hammer. Then just rotate it. Maybe lube it with some WD-40? Let me know how you make out

I've read that on some sprockets, you have to grind the face to get the clip back on.

All you have to do is...tap the front sprocket on with an oversized socket as far as it will go.the other part that u are talking about does not stay on the spline itself..it actually sits in between the sprocket and the spline....hope this helps...its easier then you think....
