Well silver lake is a couple of hours into Michigan, It is always pretty packed and I heared they are doing db checks now so be careful what you ride. Badlands is kind of like an old quarry some sand and pea gravel mixed in. There are a few places where you can ride on the dunes aroung Michigan city. I don't think its legal, but everyone tends to look the other way. If you are looking for Good big sand dunes I think you will have to travel.

Silver Lake SAnd dunes ( http://www.silverlakesanddunes.net/ ) hasn't done sound checks for the 2 times I've gone there. They're open 'til October 31st, so if you want a fun end of season ride, I'd go.

I went last week (Sept 21st) and it wasn't packed at all.

ha ha, here I am with my buddy
me!

towards the left of the picture, right next to the red pick-up truck. That's me on my Yellow Z sporting a bright orange Jersey. My friend is on the yellow honda right next to me in all red.

I feel so famous. ha ha ha

Wait a second, was one of your crew one of the dumbasses on a Red Honda that flipped over the handle bars trying to go through a deep puddle?

nope, no one flipped in our group. Only the two grizzlies that thied to butt heads and form an A in one of the puddles near the lake. Ended up digging deep into the water and drowning both quads. Got it all on film. lol

What pic? I have a copy of the video. Show me what pic your talkin about, I will check the video.

Resq,

in the "guest" post, click the "me!" link, that is the picture to which I was referring.

You can barely see me in the picture, but if you watch the video I'm riding a Yellow Z400 (easily identified by the Tigger sticker on front that says "you suck"), wearing a neon yellow jersey, Yellow/Black hemet, black axo pursuit pants.

Sry Corpsie, didnt realize that was a link...

Yea, I remember seeing you. You are on video also.
It is a short part, but if you have a cable connection I
will put it on my pc and send it to you thru msn chat.
Do you have that? If you do I will need the nick you use there.
Plan on takin some stills from it this weekend and I will cut your part then.

Were you in the other group that was busted out for jumping there? lol
The rangers just wanted us to go out to the end of the one way area, then
circle back around.

Yeah, I have a cable modem. I don't have MSN chat, but I have ICQ (3898575), AOL IM and Yahoo Messenger (both are MissusThikDik).
Don't ask about the messenger names. :D

Naw, I didn't get busted 'cuz I drove all the way down the hill
and around the outside of the one way area. My friend Ian (yellow 400ex, all Red riding gear) was up there when the DNR gave people a talkin'-to. heh heh.
