Does anyone know of some nice sand dunes open to the public in eihter northern Indiana or Southern Michigan. Im trying to plan a trip somewhere in that area and would prefer to go to some dunes. Any info is appreciated, Thanks

Well silver lake is a couple of hours into Michigan, It is always pretty packed and I heared they are doing db checks now so be careful what you ride. Badlands is kind of like an old quarry some sand and pea gravel mixed in. There are a few places where you can ride on the dunes aroung Michigan city. I don't think its legal, but everyone tends to look the other way. If you are looking for Good big sand dunes I think you will have to travel.

Silver Lake SAnd dunes ( http://www.silverlakesanddunes.net/ ) hasn't done sound checks for the 2 times I've gone there. They're open 'til October 31st, so if you want a fun end of season ride, I'd go.

I went last week (Sept 21st) and it wasn't packed at all.

Ya I went the second to last week of august, Unfortunately I was the only Z. Im going back like Oct 23-27, Im pretty sure those are the dates. Its my fall break, anyone interested in meeting up there?

nope, no one flipped in our group. Only the two grizzlies that thied to butt heads and form an A in one of the puddles near the lake. Ended up digging deep into the water and drowning both quads. Got it all on film. lol

You can barely see me in the picture, but if you watch the video I'm riding a Yellow Z400 (easily identified by the Tigger sticker on front that says "you suck"), wearing a neon yellow jersey, Yellow/Black hemet, black axo pursuit pants.

Naw, I didn't get busted 'cuz I drove all the way down the hill
and around the outside of the one way area. My friend Ian (yellow 400ex, all Red riding gear) was up there when the DNR gave people a talkin'-to. heh heh.
