Hello, just pulled my 2005 LTZ 400 out from winter storage cleaned the carburetor and I got it to start but as soon as it starts it dies not even 2 seconds later. Giving it gas makes it die quicker.

Does the choke help? Sounds like clogged pilot jet. Are you using fresh fuel?

Messed with the idle fuel screw turned in a half turn now it idles but surges as it idles but giving it gas kills it still(surges as in rpms raise and lower by its self every few seconds) brand new jets of the same size.

Brand new Mikuni Jets? Surging usually indicates it's too lean. What does it do if you turn the fuel screw out a half turn? Also, check the fuel tank cap is venting, and pull the fuel line off the carb and dump straight into a container to verify fuel flow from the petcock.

Check float height, check petcock, check your needle float plunger. Maker sure all jet circuits are clean and clear and 93otc fuel.
