i am interested in a titanium exhaust, specifically the yoshimura system. however i have heard that titanium should only be used in racing applications because as it gets hot it gets more brittle, and supposedly it has been known to shatter from impact while hot, is this true? i dont want to go spend 500-700$ on a titanium exhaust to have it shatter on me

I wouldn't worry about that happening. I have never heard of that happening, and titanium is extremely strong. I have full titanium pipes on my Superbike and love them. I'm going to get the full Yosh titanium system for my Z in the very near future. Have a good one! 8)

Titanium is sooo much stronger, but if your not a serious racer save yourself the money and just get the stainless steel one.

im not going to get into this whole titanium vs other metals.......but for titanium being stronger than steel? depends on what grades of tit and steel....but a lot of steel out there is indeed stronger than titanium. nothing special bout tit, just that its good stregth for its weight....
