well i have a true story for you. i was out riding my banshee before i got my Z and my buddy said "hey why aren't your K & N's covered" i had forgotten to put on the outter wear, si i went to the truck, looked behind the seat and found a outter wear for the day...............a pair of pantyhose. yep, i cut the feet out and it worked pretty damn good. hope that helps the project.

you'll only need to re-jet if you take the lid off the air box or lose the snorkel, otherwise, it's all good. If you do change the filter, after a good day's ride, check your plug for color. If it's white, then you need to jet, otherwise, it's all good. I've been running a K&N w/outerwears with the stock airbox setup and it's good. Back in the day, there were no outerwears, so a lot of people who rode sand would use panty hose. It's "old school", if you will. I say, if it works, go with it.
