when i was going in reverse into my agrage (uphill) it was making a popping noise out the exhaust anyone else get this???

its your rev limiter it is set reall low in reverse so you dont kill yourself

Yep thats the rev limiter,i wish the z came with a overide button. :roll:

Yea it's normal, I personally don't like it and would like to disable it...
It makes me think that my bike is going to die on me...

quit worrying about it...... whenever you hit the rev limitor in ANY gear, you will have that backfire effect... happens to me all the time.....

when ur goin in reverse just dont give it as much gas....i herd it was also because of the piston or suttin goin backwards also...could be wrong herd it from a friend but i found when not useing so much gas and only a little the sound went away

ya you should watch out for the backwards riding piston, thats the reason why they say the Z isnt a race quad. all those R's, EX's, and Shee's dont have reverse so that the piston stays safe.

you plastics could melt too if you go backwards too fast!
