I would talk to a welding shop, get their opinion. I had my 250 fixed by a competent welder, still going strong.

Depends on how bad it is. Ive done a few. You can send me some pics and I can take a look at it. Not sure where youre located, if its not too bad you can ship it to me in ohio.

I'll get this half cleaned up, just got it off ebay. The one on my machine is in worse shape, the shift lever boss also took chain damage.
