It's a matter of taste. I don't know why anybody does it to a perfectly good quad. Makes it look scrawney. This one even looks like it has a DS head on it or something now. I like my fenders, until I rip them off they'll stay put.

by cutting off the fenders there is less wind resistance created by the fenders...thats why you see a lot of race quads with the fenders cut...
