I have an 06 ltz400 and have damage to my left case and have decided to change out the bottom end rather than tediously replacing the left case. My questions are: (1)are there any differences in 03-08 bottom ends to 09-and up bottom ends? (2)If there are differences, what are they? (3) I guess my question is, will my(or any) 03-08 cylinder and head fit 09-present bottom end?

As I have been searching for a bottom end, I have ran across 09 and newer bottom ends for about the same price.

I spent 15 minutes digging on the forum for an answer and couldn't find one. Forgive me and send me the link if there is one.

I can’t seem to find it either, but I believe they are different. I know the case part numbers are different, but not sure why.
