i picked up this 2003 Kawasaki KFX up a few days ago it's got.
Power core 4 slip on
K/N filter with no air box mods
newer 05 or 06 carb bc this one has a TPS but not hooked up
Yoshirma controler box
yellow plastics with amr graphics
rear axle spacers
seven eights handle bars
rebuild not to long ago and over sized
nurf foot racks
custom frame paint and seat cover.
Anyways the problem i am haveing is the bike ran allright when i first drove it then it started to hesitate when accelerating from half to full throdle. IT will accelerate to top rps but only if you slowly open the throdle so I took apart the carb cleaned it noticed it was rejetted with a 150 main bc of the exhuast.
I think the problem is the vacuum piston diaphragm. It looks like brand new with no holes or cracks or streching but it may have a pin hole that i can't see. So my solution try putting some gas resistant type of silicone around the diaphragm and cup to see if it was air leaking in around the seal it solved the problem for 1 short ride. and the next time i drove it back to the bog. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem befor on there bike bc its 18$ plus 30$ shipping to Canada for the part and i want to be sure befor i comit to the part it is actualy the culprit.
