I'd rather have the carbbed model. The fuel injection doesn't adapt (no oxygen sensor), so I see no benefit to it. You can change jetting on a carb for a few dollars, and it'll cost you a few hundred to change your tune on a FI.
I see your point but i want a brand new quad an thats all they make inn the z's now i mean i feel like my only other opt is a yfz

i went though sredrum's Services and prices list, he does show boring TB

you may want to give him a call 419 618 5982 his name is Chris

There is another problem with building a stroker/bb fi Z up. If you look at the part number for the crankshaft on the suzuki parts fiche you'll see that the part numbers for 03-08 and 09/12 z's are different. The reason being is that the FI system requires more timing information. On a carbed model it just needs an inductive pickup to time the spark. On any FI system it requires more information from the engine so that it can time the fuel injection and spark. There are two types of FI systems open loop and close loop. The difference being one adjusts the fuel delivery after measuring the oxygen content in the exhaust, air intake temp, air pressure (used to measure altitude), cam position, crankshaft position, engine temp. The other mostly used in powersports has pre programmed fuel maps that adjust fuel delivery without measuring oxygen content by looking at crank position, air temp, air pressure, and engine temp. What it assumes is that the fuel injector will provide x amount of fuel that the computer can't actually measure. It is a set value in the programming, so the fuel management addon does is fool the fi by changing the values from different sensors allowing the computer to change the amount of fuel delivery to richer or leaner. Anyways I rambled a bit what it boils down to is you'll have to get a FI crank and a carbed crank next to each other and measure them. If there is a difference it will be on the left side where the flywheel is. It maybe the shaft is longer or the taper is different to allow the different FI flywheel or flywheel plate. No one yet sells a stroker crank specifically for FI yet that I have seen. I have been looking at getting a FI z and this has been the major reason I have held off, since I don't know for sure if I can build one as strong as my current Z.

wow well that was a deff game changer right there this is what i was looking for thanx. So they dont make cranks for any FI Bike or just the Z?

They don't make cranks for the FI yet. Obviously they make them for the 03-08

just because you cant buy one off the shelf is no reason to think you cant have a stroker crank . I'd be surprised if Barker could not build one

i'm not so sure the phone number is right on the site . i think this is the number for tim 8106580052
